New Text Editor in Forums, St. Aubin Open House, and a Membership Sale - 09/28/2008 8:21 AM
This week I enabled a new text editor in the forums.  This release marks the culmination of several months of work in developing, testing and re-testing.  I'm pretty proud of the new editor and the functionality that it brings to the forum.  It allows our 1st class members to easily post photos, YouTube videos, links, and format their text.  I've posted a video tutorial on how to post images in the forum.  I encourage everyone to watch it.  I appreciate any feedback that you are willing to give.  Do you like the idea?  What other things would you like see a tutorial for?  You can see the tutorial in the Photography forum.

Where's Emmett?Where's our engineer Emmet?  Can you locate where he is traveling this time?  It's a railroad landmark somewhere in the world. Have a closer look at the image in the forum and place your best guess.  The winner gets braggin rights!  You've got to not only guess the location, but find it in Google Earth and post the coordinates.

Congratulations to the last 2 winners in our monthly Photo Contest,  Kenneth Molchanow and Pete Smith.  They each win their choice of a 2009 myLargescale.com Member Photo Calendar or 1 year 1st class membership.  Make sure you stop by the photo contest and vote on the current contest, and enter your photo in the next contest.

Speaking of the 2009 myLargescale.com Member Photo Calendar, I finishing it up and getting ready to send it off to the printer.  I still need a couple more great shots to include in the calendar, especially winter shots.  Please drop me a note if you have a photo that you'd like considered for inclusion in the calendar.
